——————————

Many of you have experienced the unpleasant experience of a HIGH Veterinary Bill.

Perhaps you just went to your Vet for an Exam, and left with a $400 Bill- and you
wondered…..What Happened???

The simple facts are that there are high costs associated with running a Veterinary Practice.

The Vets want to get paid more. The staff are now paid higher. The equipment is costly, for Instance a NEW Digital X Ray can easily cost One Hundred Thousand dollars and someone has to pay for it.

Then on top of that, there are ALL the other overhead costs such as drugs and supplies to operate, insurance, association dues..and on….and on…it’s a BIG list.

In order to pay for all of these expenses a veterinarians fees simply have to increase as well.

Hence the BIG Bills.

On top of all of this, going down the path of conventional veterinary medicine isn’t always the RIGHT path.

You know the story about HOW more tests lead to even MORE tests.

Such as the screening blood work leading to a high liver enzyme…Which then leads to a liver biopsy..

It can then really get expensive very quickly!

The big question when considering using holistic pet treatments is, How do I know when it is safe to treat my pet at home and when do I need to take her to the Vet?

Dr. Andrew Jones answers this very important question and much more in his new course.

He created  Veterinary Secrets Revealed 2.0  as a Complete Home Study Multimedia Course. The Course now has a Quick Start Guide, 8 DVD presentations, 4 Webinar CD ROMS, 4 audio presentations, 500 page Veterinary Secrets2.0 Manual and 250 page Pet First Aid Manual.

When used in the step by step ways he clearly illustrates, it will allow you to examine your pet, make a tentative diagnosis, and show you the possible safe, natural and effective at home remedies.

But you must first study the different parts of his course and practice examining your pet at home. Once you become skilled at the at home exam, then you will be able to recognize what is abnormal in your pet.

You will be able to judge if the condition is serious and requires immediate veterinary care, or if the condition can be treated at home.

On all of the selected diseases he discusses, He advises when you should seek immediate veterinary care, as well as when you can treat your pet at home.
____________________________________________

To Illustrate, here he uses the example of a cat abscess situation:
____________________________________________

One day your cat is not acting herself. She isn’t eating very much and seems to be sleeping more.

Step 1:

First you perform a thorough exam, based on his at home exam video. You go through the The At Home Exam Report.

Step 2

You RECORD your findings in an orderly way!

You find that your cat has a fever of 39.5 Celsius. (103 Farenheit)

You find that she has a painful area on her tail base.

You note that she is not dehydrated.

You see that her gum color is pink, meaning good blood pressure.

You listen to her heart, and see that she is breathing normal.

You find a draining open hole on the painful area.

Step 3

After recording your observations and clinical findings, form a list
of disease possibilities.

Use the Table of Contents and the Index at the back to read about the
specific diseases.

In reading about the treatments, decide which is most appropriate for
your pet.

The index under fever refers to abscesses.

You decide that your pet likely has an abscess.

You watch his DVD presentation on abscesses. You read about abscesses
in his hard copy manual - you see a picture of an abscess.

You read this:

KNOW WHEN TO SEE YOUR VETERINARIAN : If your pet is very lethargic, not
eating or drinking, then see your veterinarian immediately. Bacteria
from abscesses can spread in the body, giving your pet septicemia
(blood poisoning). If your pet has a large swelling which is not draining,
then you must see your veterinarian to have it drained surgically.
Abscesses which are open and draining and small bite wounds can be treated
safely at-home.

Your cat is still eating, is not dehydrated, and has a draining abscess.

Based on these symptoms, you decide that this is something that you can
treat at home.

Step 4

You read about these treatments:

BARBER TIME. Trim the hair around the bite or wound. Trim large sections
with scissors, and carefully use a disposable razor to trim the hair next
to the skin.

KEEP IT CLEAN. If possible, put your pet in the sink or bathtub and run
lukewarm tap water on the bite or abscess for 5 minutes. If your pet
won’t tolerate running water, use a damp cloth or gauze sponge. Purchase
an antiseptic soap, Hibitane, available at your local pharmacy, and wash
the area well. Keep the wound clean and perform this water therapy twice
daily for 5-7 days.

HOMEOPATHIC. Hepar Sulph and Silica are top homeopathic remedies for healing.
The doses being 30C given twice daily for 3-5 days. It will help the body
remove debris from the wound, in other words, help draw out the abscess.

You decide upon a homeopathic treatment, so you WATCH the Video, At Home
Homeopathy for Dogs and Cats, and you READ about Homeopathic healing
in the MANUAL.

STEP 5

The Treatment.

Once you decide upon a course of action, go to a reputable supplier, such as a
local Health Coop, and purchase the specific homeopathic remedies.

You clip the hair around your cat’s abscess.

You wash it twice daily with an anti-septic soap. You keep the hole open, as
I advise in the abscess section.

You give the homeopathic medication.

In treating your pet, you record the Daily Changes in your pet, including response
to treatment with the PROGRESS SHEETS.

If your pet responds well… GREAT!

If they don’t respond, re-consider your diagnosis, or See your veterinarian.

If you have any concerns about at home health care for your pet see your local
veterinarian.

P.S. His NEW course is far more comprehensive, and VERY easy to implement
in treating your dog or cat at Home with Safe and Natural Remedies.

He has included 8 Videos so you can SEE *exactly* what to do.

If this isn’t for you, I fully understand, BUT your going to be surprised at how affordable it will be, consider your vet visit costs over the span of a year and factor in the lifetime value this powerful course will have and it is really a very easy decision to make.

I just received this message from Dr Andrew Jones, DVM and thought it was very important

to pass on to you.

I recently read an article about the current financial crisis, and how it is affecting the lives of many dogs and cats.  IF you have lost your job, and no alternate source of funds, a sick or injured pet may have to be euthanized.  I have not seen this at my practice, BUT  this is happening in many communities all over North America.

———————— Here is the story: ———————–

As the United States economy continues to spiral, pet owners  grappling with financial troubles are facing terrible choices,  animal care experts say. Confronted with steep bills for emergency  injuries or sudden illness, cash-conscious owners are delaying care,  opting for less-aggressive treatments, or in some cases, choosing  to destroy family
pets they otherwise would save.

"They come straight from the vet and say, ‘I can’t afford to treat  my animal,’ " said Mark Kump president of the National Animal  Control Association and director of an animal shelter near Dayton,  Ohio. "They’ll say, ‘The vet said he should be euthanized and I  can’t even afford that.’  " Kumpf said he’s seen a 20 percent spike in people turning in animals at his shelter in the past year, and an equal hike in the number of  people who request what’s known as "economic euthanasia." No national  figures track overall
rates of relinquishment or euthanasia, but some veterinarians across the country say they’re also seeing a rise.

Tracy Blinn, 37, of Surprise, Ariz., who can’t aff*ord the cost of X-rays  and blood tests to see what’s wrong with her 8-year-old rottweiler, Kona.  A month ago, one of Kona’s legs became too swollen and painful to use and  the dog’s right eye started drooping.

Even a few years ago, the $360 cost for diagnostic tests would have been nothing, said Blinn. But her family runs a direct-mail marketing business that served the struggling local automobile industry; nearly all their work  has dried up. And the four investment houses that once provide a tidy  income have recently slipped into foreclosure, she said.

Blinn asked a local vet for a break on the costs to treat Kona, but he refused.  "He said he’s been having a lot of issues with people not paying their vet  bills," Blinn said. "I’ve looked everywhere on the Internet and called everyone.  I even put an ad on Craigslist."

She has four kids and three dogs and a husband who has one solution in mind.  "He’s just willing to put her down and I’m not willing. I have hope. Why not try?"  she said. "I just think it’s sad. You get these animals and it’s a trust issue.  I’m feeling terrible that just because of finances, she might die."

P.S. Veterinary Care is expensive - BUT there are many things that you can do to minimize this.

It never fails. Mainstream veterinarians are quick to prescribe antibiotics for cat urinary infection but the infections just keep coming back. Antibiotics may get rid of the immediate symptoms of urinary tract infection in your cat but beyond that are they effective? Many pet owners are turning to safer, natural solutions and it’s easy to understand why.

I don’t doubt the fact that cat urinary problems must first and foremost be diagnosed by a veterinarian. If you notice any changes in your cat’s behavior, such as if he is drinking more water than usual, he seems to be in pain when urinating, or he is urinating more frequently, go to a veterinarian immediately to rule out any serious causes.

A tumor, bladder stones, struvite crystals, or serious disease can cause a cat urinary infection. Your veterinarian may have to perform a surgical procedure in order to cure the problem. Otherwise, a special diet may be necessary in order to dissolve the crystals or stones.

Antibiotics may be prescribed in order to get rid of your cat’s infection. Not only are antibiotics difficult to administer, they also have dangerous side effects. Not to mention the high doses required to treat cat urinary problems may actually aggravate the infection.

Another reason why pet owners should start straying away from antibiotics for treatment of cat urinary infection is that their overuse has led to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria. Over time bacteria are going to evolve to the point that we won’t even be able to get rid of it anymore if we keep using antibiotics anytime our cats have an infection!

The best way to take care of cat urinary problems before they spiral out of control is with natural treatment. A healthy diet and lifestyle and avoiding exposure to toxins and chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides can go a long way in helping your cat reach an optimum state of health so urinary tract infections don’t become a problem in the first place. Along with these lifestyle changes, administering a homeopathic remedy can be very helpful in maintaining optimum bladder functioning and overall good health. Homeopathic remedies come in granule form so they are easy to give your cat.

Now it’s time to start putting these tips to use. Conventional treatment with antibiotics may be a quick fix for cat urinary infection but they are only a temporary solution. Furthermore, the dangerous side effects of conventional treatment can actually put your cat’s health at risk. If you want your cat to be healthy and infection free without putting his health in danger, make lifestyle changes and give him a  homeopathic remedy . By doing so, you will help your cat recover permanently so he can stay healthy for years to come.

Alternative Medicine for Pets

Today, many pet lovers around the globe are moving towards natural remedies or alternative medicines to  treat their pets  for various ailments. This article gives useful tips about alternative medicine for your pet…

Alternative Medicine for Pets

Alternative medicine is used for treating human beings and their pets. Many pet lovers around the world prefer alternative medicine such as acupuncture, holistic treatment and so on, to cure various aliments of their pet or pets. Alternative medicines and therapies are based on various beliefs and philosophies. Veterinary alternative medicines are slowly becoming popular. However, the practice of alternative medicine for pets such as dog, cat, horse and camel vary. The one thing that is common for all pets is alternative medicine stresses on a healthy lifestyle and believes different animals have different systems and lifestyles. Take a look at the alternative medicine for pets such as dog and cat.

Alternative Medicine for Pets - Dogs

Here are a few alternative medicines for pet dogs. However, do consult a good veterinary doctor before trying out an alternative medicine for your pet dog.

One of the alternative medicines that is suggested for pet dogs is "Nosodes". Nosodes is a homeopathic mixture that is given to a pet dog instead of vaccination. There are studies to show it as being effective in reducing the active diseases. However, there are no proven studies to show that vaccination is not required if this alternative medicine is used.

The major problems faced by a dog owner are fleas and ticks on their pet’s body. Instead of using chemicals to remove or control the fleas and ticks, you could use alternative veterinary medicine. The dog owner could make a mixture out of garlic paste, basil (herb) and brewer’s yeast. Rub the paste on the body of your dog before giving it a bath. However, it is a wise idea to keep the kennel and the surrounding area clean. The dog has to be groomed once a day to keep it clean.

Like human beings, dogs are also prone to allergies and arthritis. To prevent or cure certain allergies or arthritis you could use anti-oxidants as an alternative medicine. You could also change the diet of the dog by adding Omega fatty acid and glucosamine supplements.

Alternative Medicine for Pets - Cats

Alternative medicine including alternative therapies such as acupressure, aromatherapy, herbal medicines and massage therapy could be used to cure various health disorders in felines. However, before apply acupressure, it would be wise to consult a well-versed veterinarian. Acupressure and at times, acupuncture, is used to treat arthritis or an injury caused due to accidental fall.

Chiropractic therapy is an alternative therapy practiced on cats with misaligned vertebrae or herniated discs. This treatment helps to sooth injured muscles or joints of your pet cat. Another alternative medicine is Bach flower remedies. To treat cats with behavioral problems, flower essences are used. This is known as Bach flower remedy. Homeopathy is another alternative treatment used to treat various ailments of pet felines.

The families who prefer using alternative medicine for their own treatment, would like to use alternative medicines on their pet animals also. Research and studies are still going on regarding the use of alternative medicines on pet animals; however, there are  vets who are practicing alternative medicine  such as acupressure and chiropractic therapy.

Feline Urinary Problems — What Every Cat Owner Should Know

Did you know that up to 1.5 percent of all cats in the US are plagued with feline urinary problems? That’s a lot of cats.

These problems can range from an uncomfortable cat bladder infection to a life-threatening cat urinary blockage. An an informed cat owner, you should always be on the lookout for cat urinary problems.

What’s The Difference Between FUS And FLUTD?

Many cat owners are confused, and rightfully so, over the terms used to describe cat urinary problems. FLUTD is an acronym that stands for Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. FLUTD used to be known as FUS, or Feline Urologic Syndrome. Feline Urologic Syndrome has been renamed as Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease to reflect that most of the urinary problems in cats happen in the lower urinary tract, which includes the bladder and urethra.

Overview Of Feline Urinary Disease

There are many different aspects to feline urinary problems. Here’s a quick overview of a few different conditions that can affect your cat’s urinary tract.

Cystitis is an inflammation of your cat’s bladder.
If your cat’s urethra is inflamed, he has urethritis.
Idiopathic cystitis means that the cause of the bladder inflammation is not known.
Bladder stones in cats often occur as a result of feline urinary crystals.
A tumor in your cat’s bladder may cause problems, too.

You can see that it’s important to pinpoint what’s causing your cat’s urinary tract problems in order to treat his condition successfully.

Symptoms of Cat Urinary Problems

No matter what’s causing the feline urinary tract problems, your cat will show these symptoms:

Bloody urine
Urinating in places other than his litter box
Urinating often, but passing only small amounts of urine
Straining to urinate, or not being able to pass urine at all
Crying out in pain in the litter box

Any of these symptoms should be enough for you to take your cat to the vet for a check-up.

What Your Vet Will Do

Your vet will examine your cat and feel his bladder to see how full it is. The vet will also want to do a urinalysis to check for infection or feline urinary crystals, and may want to do a cat urine culture to see if bacteria are present. If your cat’s bladder is distended, that indicates a cat urinary blockage, and your vet may want to take x-rays or do an ultrasound to look for cat bladder stones.

What Can You Do To Prevent Feline Urinary Disease?

There are many steps cat owners can take to prevent their cats from developing feline urinary tract problems. The most important thing you can do is to feed a high-quality canned food. Cats are supposed to get most of their water from their food.

A cat who eats only dry food is usually chronically dehydrated, which leads to his urine becoming concentrated. And concentrated urine can lead to cat bladder stones, and a whole host of problems that goes along with them.

Be sure your cat always has access to plenty of clean, fresh water, too.

You may want to consider giving your cat a natural remedy for pets that supports bladder health in felines. This remedy should contain herbal extracts of barberry and uva ursi, along with the homeopathic remedies Cantharis and Staphysagria. These natural treatments have stood the test of time for bladder infections in humans, and they have been proven to work very well in cats.

Your goal now? To make sure your cat doesn’t become a statistic suffering from feline urinary problems.
